The village olympics of Vojvodina is the most visited manifestation in Bačka Topola. It is held on the Hungarian national holiday, St. Stephen's day, on August 20th, along with the New Bread holiday. The whole day event begins with the mission to the church of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, followed by the parade of the carriages and horses. They have to answer questions about agriculture, folklore, history, plant and animal protection. Men can compete in throwing rubber boots, as well as throwing straw bales and tractors race. The girls and the women will crush the corn, read the beans and carry the eggs in the carriage. They also organize a drawing competition for children, while the most talented children can take pigglet home. At the same time with the Olympic games, a competition is organized in the beef stew cooking. Concerts and fireworks await guests at the end of the evening.
