Monastery Đipša is a women’s monastery - also known to the people as the Đivša monastery. It is located on the southern slopes of the western part of Fruškagora, in a beautiful valley surrounded by dense forest. The monastery was built by Despot Jovan Branković at the end of the 15th century with a monastery church dedicated to St. Nicholas. Because of its geographical location and distance from inhabited places, this has always been a poor monastery, therefore it has never particularly attracted the attention of the Turks. At the beginning of the 18th century, it fell under the administration of the Kuveždin monastery until 1923 when it again managed to regain its independence. According to some claims, these two monasteries could have fallen under the administration of Hilandar, but this was not allowed by the locals. Today the monastery consists of the church of St. Nicholas and lodging.
