Only 15 km away from Novi Sad, one of the most popular excursion spots on Fruška Gora offers a fantastic view of the mountain slopes from 321 m above sea level.
Stražilovo is one of the eastern hills of Fruška Gora. It is popular due to two factors. Firstly, because of the cultural richness of Sremski Karlovci that is 4 km away, and secondly because of the tomb of the Serbian romantic poet Branko Radičević, which is on the hilltop. The Gymnasium of Karlovci is the oldest secondary school in Serbia. Its students, including Branko Radičević, often chose Stražilovo hill as a resting place. Today, it is an inevitable destination for excursions, a point of several educational and hiking trails. The landscape surrounding the monument on the hilltop provides excellent opportunities for relaxation. Fruška Gora National Park pays great attention to the unique flora and fauna in this area, but they also provide places for picnics and outdoor baking and cooking. The resting place Brankov Čardak awaits guests with a restaurant and accommodation facilities.
