The “Dunav čarda” restaurant is a great place for all the lovers of hot fish stew with noodles, domestic schnapps and drinks followed by the sounds of violins and traditional folk instruments from Vojvodina.
Restaurant "Dunav čarda" is located in Bačka Palanka. At the place where the ferry was connecting Bačka Palanka and Ilok for more than two centuries, the "čarda" was built as early as in the 18th century. One of the most famous inns on the middle of the Danube, received both guests who were just passing through and ones who intended to go there. Thick and spicy fish stew with noodles, has always lured in hungry guests. A glass of schnapps before and a lot of wine after a meal, are the reason more why one should come to the čarda. Even today, the sounds of violin and traditional folk music from Vojvodina does not stop in the "Danube čarda"
