City Museum in Bečej

The City Museum in Bečej focuses on the collection and preservation of the cultural heritage of the area.

The City Museum in Bečej was established in 1953 by the Municipal People’s Council of Bečej. It contains six departments, which are constantly being updated ever since the building has been established: the archaeological department (numismatic collections are part of it), the ethnographical department, the historical department, the fine arts department (it covers the industrial-applied art), the preservation department and the general department. The museum exhibits more than 16000 artifacts. Open hours: Monday 8-14, Tuesday 8-19, Wednesday 8-14, Thursday 8-19, Friday 8-14.
