Decades-long festival in Zrenjanin, city with long history in beer pouring.
The brewery of Zrenjanin was built in 1745. It was operating until 2006, while today only its catering unit is in function. The Beer Days were first held in 1986, commemorating the 240th anniversary of the brewery. Since then, it has become the biggest event of the former county seat, celebrated the last week of summer. In addition to beer pouring and tasting, fair and culinary programs, the procession of fiacres is an important part of the event. Over the years, the Beer Days have incorporated several events, such as the International Folklore Festival, the Tambura Festival, the Festival of Folk Handicrafts and the International Festival of Wedding Folk Custom. The music program has received a major role in recent years, and the program is abundant in sports activities as well. This is one of the most visited events in the Banat region.
