On the southern slopes of Fruškagora, near the Irig village, there is the monastery Krušedol. Surrounded by a park and chestnut trees, the courtyard of this sanctity is adorned with a small sweep. The monastery was the endowment of the Branković family, the last feudal lords in Srem. The temple is dedicated to the blessings of the Holy Virgin Mary. It is believed that the construction of the monastery began with despot Đorđe Branković at the beginning of the 16th century and it lasted for 50 years. Due to the rich historical treasury, famous iconostasis and many relics, this is one of the most important Serbian monasteries. Today, the monastery attracts attention as a mausoleum - next to the relics of St. Branković, there are also the relics of Arsenije III Čarnojevic, princess Ljubica Obrenović and King Milan Obrenović
