Lake Bela Crkva

Lakes of Bela Crkva in southern Banat are ideal for weekend tourism, for day trips with children, for escaping from the city bustle and bathing tourism.

Lakes of Bela Crkva are located in the municipality of Bela Crkva in southern Banat. They consist of 7 larger and several smaller lakes. Lakes were created by decennial excavation of gravel from the field between the Bela Crkva and the village Vračev Gaj. Remnants of the Pannonian sea and groundwater immediately filled these excavations and created lakes. The water is shallow and warm and there are two beautifully landscaped pebble beaches on "Glavno” and “Vračevgajsko” lakes. The lakes represent an ideal place to escape the city bustle. When the season is at its peak, more than 10,000 tourists a day enjoy the lake. Bela Crkva has become an ideal place for weekend tourism. Guests from all parts of Serbia and Europe come regularly, mostly families with children. Due to the increasing interest of tourists, in the past few years forty privately owned villas in the main lake area have become rentable. The apartments are all arranged in accordance with high standards. Many of them offer full privacy to their guests on their concrete beaches. The prices in the apartments range from 30 to 60 euros per day, and for those who aren’t looking forward to spending as much, Bela Crkva offers accommodation in camping trailers and bungalows, which are located on Vračevgajsko lake.
