City Museum Vršac in Concordia Building

The Museum has over 250.000 exhibits on display, in several scientific departments such as archaeology, history, natural sciences, art and many others.

In 1882 on the proposal of Julius Frisch a decision is made to establish a museum in Vrsac. Felix Milleker is chosen to be the curator, who is credited for enriching the museums collection by means of field excavations and by repurchasing artifacts from several collectors. A large number of the antiquities in the museum's collection are gifts from several contributors. The first big exhibition open for the public was in 1896. The Museum has over 250.000 exhibits on display, in several scientific departments : archaeology, history, numismatic, ethnographic, natural sciences and art. There are also conservator workshops organised by the museum.
