The traditional harvest ball in Doroslovo is particularly folksy and sightly.
Visitors come here from Hungary and Croatia as well. Jointly organized by the local community of Doroslovo and the Móricz Zsigmond Magyar Művelődési Egyesület (cultural organization), the event starts with a procession of horse-drawn carriages, dancers and musicians. The eldest folk dancers of the group select the judge and baroness. The locals offer pastries and drinks to the ball's guests and audience members. The festivities are followed by a joint performance in the theater, where the audience can enjoy marching songs and various dance choreographies. The tradition of harvest "stealing" is commemorated after the performances. This means tearing off as many fruits and items from the ceiling as possible, without the dancers designated as "haywards" noticing. People caught stealing are "jailed" and fined by the ball's judge and baroness.
