The hotel downtown Subotica has three segments which are connected by an atrium in the middle.
Back in the distant year of 1986, the Boss pizzeria was opened in Subotica—at the time, a modern and far-ahead-of-its-time establishment. The distinctive name and completely new, modern concept quickly became recognizable, and the constant pursuit of quality resulted in success and the expansion of offerings and capacity.
Ten years later, it was the perfect time to shift from the pizzeria concept to a modern and distinctive restaurant. In 1996, fried food, steak, and the famous chicken fillet with gorgonzola sauce—still the first choice of many guests today—were introduced.
In 1999, an indoor terrace was created, which quickly became a favorite spot for Subotica residents to have coffee with friends or enjoy a delicious meal. The interest of Subotica's residents, and increasingly of tourists, soon exceeded the restaurant's and terrace's capacities, so in 2000, Boss settled into a space still known today as the Atrium, and in 2001, Boss expanded to the opposite side of the street into a space known to guests as Fashion.
With the arrival of Miroslav Poljaković Miki, who worked for several years under the jurisdiction of Iasonas Giasoumi, one of the most famous Cypriot chefs, the existing café restaurant concept was enhanced with many of our now-recognizable dishes, as well as with quick and standard service.
One of the great challenges for our head chef Miki was the introduction of unusual dishes and ingredients to give the Boss restaurant's kitchen a more significant role in setting new food culture and standards.
The increase in quality resulted in the inability (lack of space) to accommodate all the guests, so the next step was home delivery.
Many guests of the Boss restaurant wanted our distinctive flavors at their celebrations, so Boss restaurant's catering has been successfully operating for 10 years and is widely recognized for its quality.
Today, with pride, we can say that the modern establishment of the Boss café restaurant is one of Subotica's landmarks, where guests of all generations gladly stop by. Over the years, we have hosted many famous personalities, but we have welcomed and served each guest with the same attention and quality of service expected from the Boss name.
