European Film Festival of Palić

The Palić Film Festival is the magic of European cinema under the stars. The international, competitive festival was founded by the Municipality of Subotica in 1992. It is prominently a showcase for the latest developments in the film industry of Central and Eastern Europe. This year, the festival will be held for the 31st time at the Palić Summer Stage, an outdoor stone stage with a 1000-seat grandstand and a backdrop of ancient pine trees, providing a unique atmosphere for the main program of the event.

This year, more than 140 films will be screened in 17 selections at various locations in Palić and Subotica – the Summer Stage, Abbázia Cinema in Palić, and in Subotica at Eurocinema and Lifka Sándor Cinemas. In addition to screenings, the organizers are preparing a rich side program. The competition program is prepared and judged by more than 100 domestic and foreign film experts.

Today, the unique atmosphere of the festival is considered a highlight in the film world – since 2017, it has been listed among the 26 most important European festivals.
