Palić's European Film Festival was established in 1992 by the Subotica municipality. Today, it is one of the most prominent festivals of the region, and focuses on displaying products of the European film industry. The event was added to the list of 26 most significant European festivals in 2017. The program consists of eleven sections, encompassing almost 80 films, which are later evaluated by a professional jury.
