Zoo Palić

Zoo Palić has over 150 animal species.

Zoo Palić was founded in 1950. The founder of the institution is the town of Subotica. It is located in the very north of Serbia, in the immediate vicinity of Lake Palić. The main activities of the institution involve: zoology, botany, education and culture, protection of endangered species of plants and animals, tourism and entertainment. It has more than 150 animal species that are housed in about fifty aviaries and facilities, while more than 800 individuals are in the Animal Shelter. Within the Zoo, there is also a botanical garden, which is a collection of many autochthonous species, as well as atypical deciduous and coniferous trees, and tens of thousands of seasonal flower plants from their own production. The Zoo's offer is complete with exhibitions of paintings and sculptures, workshops, seminars, expert meetings and conferences. Annually, the Zoo is visited by over 150,000 visitors from the country and abroad. Zoo Palić is open 365 days a year.
