National Theatre Toša Jovanović

This is the oldest baroque style construction in Zrenjanin, and even in the whole Serbia, and is currently operating as a theatre.

The building with a baroque style interior was built in 1835. The theatre was built in honor of the lovely Blaha Lujza, who was the object of affection of the constructionist. It was a grain silo previously, which was taken down in order to start the building process. Various plays can be seen here in both Hungarian and Serbian, such as Romeo and Juliette, or the Red Riding Hood.
