Roman Catholic church of Elemér and the grave of Ernő Kiss

This is the oldest baroque style construction in Zrenjanin, and even in the whole Serbia, and is currently operating as a theatre.

In the village called Elemir, only a few km away from Zrenjanin, is where Ernő Kiss, one of the former tenants of the village, built the Roman Catholic Church of the municipality. The construction of the church started in 1845, and it was consecrated in 1847. This is the final resting place of the general Ernő Kiss and his family members. A sacred mass and wreathing in the memory of the general is held annually, on October the 6th.
