Bačka

Bačka is bordered by the Danube and Tisza rivers, Hungary and Croatia. Several roads connect the region with the surrounding countries such as the E75 motorway, the Budapest – Subotica – Belgrade – Bar railway, and the Subotica – Sombor – Novi Sad railway. Bačka has many valuable natural and cultural features. Visitors can view buildings with features of the Hungarian secession architecture, among other historical Vojvodinian traits. You can also choose from well-known cities such as Novi Sad, Subotica, Palić, Bačka Topola and Sombor. Bačka has many farms where you can experience authentic village life, taste local delicacies and enjoy excellent live music. Bačka is also well-known for its gastronomic and wine specialties. Its northern part has a number of wineries where you can enjoy local products in an idyllic environment, while to the west you can eat Fisherman’s soup by the Danube river. There are also numerous thermal spas, restaurants, and well-kept beaches by the rivers, and excellent fishing and hunting locations are also available.
