Bač, the town after which Bačka and the Bačka County are named, played a significant historical role. Sources indicate that this area was inhabited even before the Hungarian conquest and played an important role in consolidating Christianity. Saint Ladislaus established the southern center of the Kalocsa-Bač Archdiocese here. The fortress, built between 1338 and 1342 during the reign of King Charles Robert, served a major defensive role. The fortress was octagonal in shape, modeled after French knightly castles, with a tower and bastions dominating the surrounding plains.

Day 1 – Saturday
