Event organised in honor of writer and painter Đura Jakšić

In honor of Đura Jakšić, “Đura’s Bohemian Days” and “Liparske večeri” are held, manifestations dedicated to cultural and artistic creation.

The most important value of Nova Crnja municipality is the birthplace and museum of the great Serbian romantic painter and poet Đura Jakšić, located in the settlement Srpska Crnja. In his honor, "Đura's Bohemian days" and "Lipar nights" are held, manifestations dedicated to cultural and artistic creation with a tradition of more than 40 years. These events last between 5 and 7 days. "Lipar nights" are held in Srpska Crnja, the first week of June, and "Bohemian Days" on the weekend before or after St. Procopius (July 21st).
