The Clerical High School of saint Arsenije in Sremski Karlovci is one of the oldest and most important educational institutions of the Serbian people.

The Clerical High School of saint Arsenije in Sremski Karlovci represents one of the oldest and most important educational institutions of Serbian people. The first Serbian Orthodox seminary was founded by Metropolitan Stefan Stratimirovich from Karlovac in 1794, three years after the foundation of the gymnasium in Sremski Karlovci. During the First World War, the Hungarian authorities abolished the school, and in 1964 the seminary in Sremski Karlovci was re-founded and received the name of Saint Arsenije
