Town Hall of Senta

The most compelling, sightly, and distinctive building of Senta, regarded as the town’s symbol since its construction.

The Town Hall of Senta was constructed in the first year of World War I. The secession style Town Hall was built where the old one, previously destroyed by fire, was located. This new, monumental building was designed by Frigyes Kovács. The Town Hall's interior upper floors are home to municipality offices, while the ground floor has several shops and restaurants. It is also a venue for conferences, lectures, weddings, and other events. The entire town can be seen from its fifty-meter-tall tower. Many people consider it a somewhat romantic location with rich Art Nouveau style decorations. Its topmost level contains the Battle of Zenta memorial exhibition. The building's most spectacular part is the splendidly decorated stairwell gallery.
