The traditional Bean festival in Temerin is held in June. Besides the cooking competition, visitors can take part in numerous other programs as well.
The aim of the Bean Festival in Temerin is to preserve traditional and family values. People from more than ten countries visit the festival every year, which makes it one of the biggest events in Vojvodina. Besides the bean soup cooking, visitors can take part in many other interesting programs during the festival. While the soup is cooking, performers from local cultural associations, dance groups and music school students perform on stage. Adventurers can be test their skills and speed. In addition to the market, the Old Crafts Street also opens, where craftsmen present and offer their products. Visitors can taste the delicious bean soup, for which a voluntary donation is expected. The money collected is given to charity.
