Folk House in Temerin

The Folk House in Temerin is one of the oldest buildings in Vojvodina. It was built in the 1850s. It has been a Folk House since 20 July 2003. It presents the folk architecture of the Hungarian population and the traditional countryside life. It also holds smaller community gatherings, traditional programs, and occasional exhibitions. The House organizes photo exhibitions, the traditional fire jumping on St. John's Day and dancing events. Traditional pig-slaughters are held annually, and they show the old ways of corn picking and harvesting. The visitor can also learn the crafts of claying and felting.
